Last night I stood in my front yard and watched as a night sky pitch as black turned blood red. Orbs flickered as I stood mystified, my feet wet with dew signaling the coming of morning, the Earth's last morning. I witnessed in the sky over my house as one by one the planets aligned and then met their fate. The rings of Saturn scattered across the sky like an ancient text. As our earth’s surface was littered with the remains of our once neighboring spheres, the world's population watched helpless to stop our own demise.
